Windows 7 OS users may encounter several OS related problems, such as Windows 7's instability, the appearance of system's error notifications or system's slow performance, etc. Such problems may be due to the conflicts among applications, drivers or user's system has been infected with virus which may have deleted, modified or corrupted system files or Windows' file configuration. In some cases, users themselves accidentally delete or modify the system's file or system's parameters.

• Windows 7 upgrade must be performed in Windows 7, but not booting in Safe mode or from CD.
• You need Windows 7 licensed key and a boot CD of Windows 7 (the version in-use or newer version).
• You have to sign in with Administrator's account to upgrade Windows 7.

To upgrade Windows 7, take the following steps:

Step 1: Reboot and sign into Windows 7 OS.

Step 2: Insert Windows 7 boot CD into the DVD drive, run file setup.exe.  In Install Windows window, choose Install now.

Step 3: In Install Windows window, choose Go online to get the latest update for installation (recommended). Notice: your computer needs to be connected to the Internet if you choose this option.  

Select the OS version you are using and then click Next.

Step 4: Read Microsoft's license terms, choose I accept the license terms, and click Next.  

A new window appears, choose Upgrade.

Upgrade process starts. During this process, Windows may reboot several times.

Notice: Do not press any key when the window Press any key to boot from CD or DVD... appears between Windows' reboots.

Step 5: Enter the licensed key you used to install Windows, and click Next to continue Windows Upgrade.

Notice: If you select Automatically activate Windows when I'm online, automatic registration mode will be activated after 3 days you sign in to Windows for the first time.

In Set Up Windows window, choose Use recommended settings.

In the next window, reset the system time, and click Next.

Upgrade process completed.
