Windows 7: Secure but still require users’ awareness
Since its debut, Windows 7 has demonstrated a remarkable improvement in term of security level compared to its “brother” Windows XP. Microsoft has put into Windows 7 security technologies to enhance its protection ability. Therefore, although in the IT world  exist the information that it is possible to exploit vulnerabilities on Windows 7, there have not been many tests to verify this issue so far.

39,000 computers in Vietnam lose network connection upon virus disinfection
Recently, many users have been panic because their computers cannot connect to the Internet after removing viruses. According to the analysis of Bkav experts, the issue occurs when the computer is infected with virus W32.Ndisvan.Trojan. Bkav’s statistics show that there have been 39,000 computers in Vietnam infected with this virus.

Google exploited to spread virus
Most Internet users have a habit of searching for information by Google. That explains why hackers always try to insert malicious code into the top keywords of this search engine, which has turned Google into a huge virus spreading source.

Virus posing as Microsoft to delete users’ data has emerged
Bkav’s virus monitoring system has detected that many searching results for Stuxnet removal tool on Internet lead users to a tool posing as Microsoft. This tool, which is incapable of removing Stuxnet, is actually a data-destroying virus. It will delete all data on drive C when executed.

Metamorphic virus Sality rages because of Shortcut vulnerability
According to Bkav's virus monitoring system, in September 2010, there were 380,000 computers in Vietnam infected with metamorphic virus W32.Sality.PE. The number was doubled in comparison with 191,000 computers in July 2010.
